Whilst we know that we cannot diagnose, we can provide the best possible chance of finding potential red-flag changes in your body over time. We will also provide all of the information you need to take to your GP, so that should the worst occur, you can start the fight as early as possible.
Julian is a serial entrepreneur founding numerous businesses across multiple sectors, focusing on renewable energy in the last decade. Throughout his career he has successfully exited multiple businesses with tens of millions generated in revenue and profits. A specialist at international trade, large scale retail sales, marketing and distribution, he is also a father of 3, an enjoys dining, travelling & walking in his down time. He is also proud to be the Chairman of Kidney Research charity, a member of the alternate advisory board Kidney Research UK, and a member of the NIHR Leeds MIC.
Three of Julian’s close family have been diagnosed with cancer, two of whom found their cancer early and survived, one unfortunately found theirs late. These personal experiences are what are driving a determination for change. Julian witnessed the inefficiencies and delays of our overworked healthcare system first hand and is keen to improve the process by diagnosing early, referring in hours to online GP’s, and ultimately allowing people to start treatment early before they become symptomatic, drastically improving outcomes for people throughout the country.
Phillip’s mission is to develop and bring to the home market low cost early diagnostic technology that identifies life threatening diseases such as cancer. The goal is to ensure as many people as possible can be diagnosed early. When found early enough such diseases can be treated successfully thereby extending the life expectancy of over 90% of patients.
This is not just a business. Like most people in their fifties, Phillip has witnessed first-hand the devastation both physically and mentally that these life threatening diseases can bring. Just Check is a mission to empower everybody to take a greater responsibility for their own health with frequent, reliable home testing. The business will focus on developing low-cost accurate tests which the customer will use in their own home. With the help of smart technology, a phone app will manage the testing process and a record of this will be kept which the customer can then show to their doctor.
